We get on a call and discuss the project.

Proposal

I'll send you a proposal based on our discussion including time-lines and cost.

Design

I'm not a designer so I'll wait for the design specs from your side.

Development & Testing

I follow the agile process and work in weekly sprints. I will send out a build and demo the work at the end of each sprint.

Deployment

After completing all the features I shall deploy the application to the appstore.

Maintenance

I offer a monthly retainer where I shall work on the application for 15 hours/month. The retainer will be at a discount to the hourly price.

FAQs

• How do you charge?

Although I prefer to charge a fixed hourly rate, in cases where the budget is a constraint (yes I’m talking to you startups!) I have a different model where I charge a fixed monthly price. This, of course, is subject to the type of work involved and the duration of the project. I usually prefer to take up long term projects of a minimum duration of three months or having a budget of at least $7,000.

• Our timezones are drastically apart. How will our engagement work?

Most of my clients are in the United States of America, which is 12 hours behind me and yet we have excellent communication. I work during PST work hours and I make sure that I'm available for at-least four hours of your work day.

I use Slack, Google Hangouts, Github and Screenhero to make the communication effective. I like to have daily stand-ups as well.

• Are you open for long terms engagements (upwards of 3 months)?

I would love to engage in a long term contract. It is extremely fulfilling for me to see a project I've worked on blossom as the company grows and I enjoy being a part of the process.

• I've got a deadline coming up soon. Can you help?

As much as I would love to help you out, please keep in mind that it takes time to build quality products and I don't like to compromise on quality.

• I already have an application. Can you develop a new feature for me?

Yes I'm always up for a new challenge. However, please keep in mind that I will need some time to familiarize myself with the code. For engagements which are lesser than a month I charge by the hour.

• I don't have a design. Can you also design the application?

Unfortunately, while I'm still learning how to design, I'm no expert. However, I can introduce you to a few good designers I've worked with.

• Are you available to work from our offices?

I'd love to! It would be awesome to meet the team. However, this stance may vary depending upon my prior commitments or in cases of emergency.

• Are you open to write a book for our publication?

Yes I am interested in writing more books. However, I need a minimum commitment of $10,000 in sales from the publisher with a certain amount paid in advance.
